A Letter From Our President

Dear Friends and Members,
I am very pleased and excited to be serving as President of the ARMA NJ Chapter again. When I stepped down from my last term in 2016, and Ann Gorr and Lucy Rieger generously stepped in as our first ever Co-Presidents, I had no idea how much the world would change between now and then. But I am a strong believer in seeing challenges as opportunities.
This year, the NJ Chapter Leadership stepped up and seized new opportunities to reimagine what ARMA NJ could be. We had already been discussing ways to make the Chapter flexible and adaptable and even had tried a few experiments. In 2020 and 2021, we all experimented — and succeeded! Virtual events are now as much a part of this Chapter as each of you are. AND all of our virtual events include a 30-minute networking session.
Many people aren’t aware of it, but the Chapter celebrated its 65th Anniversary in 2020. Additionally, over our 2020-2021 season, Colleen Murch, Tim Fullen and Jessica Brown celebrated 1-year chapter anniversaries; Jim Koziol and Fred Pulzello celebrated 5-years; Anne Marie Phillips and Mary Hamm celebrated 10 years; Karen Gabbett, Torey King, Karen Harvey, Seth Beim and Angel Ramos celebrated 15 years; Russell Gasero, Cindy Arden and Elizabeth Conley celebrated 20 years; Alison Zoubek celebrated 25 years; and Michael Zampella toasted 35 years with our chapter. Like so many others during the pandemic we put off our celebration until we could welcome you back in person.
We hope you will all be able to join us on October 13th, 2021, at The Rutgers Club located on the Rutgers University Campus to celebrate both the anniversary and the opportunity to come together in person. Details are available on our website at: www.armannj.org. There is much more information to follow in the new year but for now please mark your calendars:

WE’RE BACK with ARMA NJ’s premier all day IG/RIM Educational event on the beautiful Princeton University Campus featuring top industry experts and innovators
I love meeting our members and guests in person and missed seeing you in person over the past year. But I’m very proud of the ARMA NJ we experienced in 2020-21 which acted quickly to respond to the needs of the chapter membership. Our next step is not to go back to the way things were but instead to move forward. Let’s apply what we have learned in order to offer new experiences and opportunities for our members.
The world is a different place today from when I first joined the Chapter’s board. But together we have demonstrated that we are nimble, adaptable, and creative. And ahead of us, are many opportunities for us inspire, lead and grow. Let’s seize them together and get ready to open doors to achieving greater things.
With warm regards and gratitude,
Jacki
