DEAR ARMA NJ MEMBERS AND FRIENDS,

I hope you all had a fantastic summer filled with memorable moments and rejuvenation. As the kids head back to school and we embrace the changing seasons, it's our pleasure to welcome you back to ARMA NJ and kick off an exhilarating new program year!

With enthusiasm, we share that our Chapter has been hard at work refining our goals, and the journey ahead looks incredibly promising. The dedication and commitment of our members are truly driving us toward success, and we're thrilled to embark on this journey together.

We are thrilled to announce the addition of two new members to the ARMA NJ Leadership Team. Joining us this year are Cherlyn Acquista and Jordan Baron. Cherlyn, Assistant Director Preservation and Disposition at EY, will be assisting the Board with Programming while Jordan, VP of Sales at Innovative Document Imaging LLC is stepping into the role of Director previously held by BJ Johnson.

There are still many opportunities available if you're interested in getting involved. You can volunteer for an hour, a week, a day or whatever suits your schedule. I'm always happy to jump on a call and discuss ways that you can help that fit your life. Contact me to schedule a call at [email protected].

Now let's dive into fall with a look at what's ahead. Mark your calendars for an engaging event on September 13th. We are privileged to have Steve Dalina, Rutgers University's Director of Records Management, as our guest speaker at the University Records Center.

Steve will take us on a tour of the state of the art facility and then talk to us about "Tools of the Trade," an enlightening session to empower you with the essential items for your Records and Information Management toolbox.

October 18th is a date to remember, as we return to the Rutgers Club for our annual "CONNECT | ENGAGE | NETWORK | CELEBRATE" event. This informal gathering provides the perfect backdrop to catch up with colleagues, interact with fellow Chapter members, and hone your networking prowess.

If you've been considering membership, seize the opportunity between now and October 17, 2023, with a special event discount awaiting you. Explore the benefits of joining ARMA NJ at armannj.org and make the most of this exclusive offer or contact [email protected] for more information.

The excitement doesn't stop there! On October 25th, we're embracing the virtual realm with a thought-provoking presentation from Michael Potters CEO of The Glenmont Group. Michael, an acclaimed recruiter, will share insights into the Influence of AI and emerging technologies on the RIM and IG professions. This session promises to be a compass guiding you towards effectively navigating the future landscape.

November 15th brings us back together in person for an enriching event, "Unlocking the Power of Archiving and Information Management." Anne Marie Philips, Past President of ARMA New Jersey, Assistant University Librarian for Archives and Records Management at Princeton University, and Cherlyn Acquista, Assistant Director Preservation and Disposition at EY, will share their invaluable perspectives on archiving's significance in the context of record and information management. Gain practical insights to ensure your organization can harness the potential of its records and information, an increasingly vital aspect in today's digital age.

You can be sure that there is lots more exciting programming on the horizon. Stay connected with us by visiting armannj.org, where you'll find the latest updates and information that will keep you informed and engaged.

Let's ensure that this program year becomes a truly memorable one. Together, we will embark on a journey of learning, growth, and the achievement of remarkable milestones. Welcome back, ARMA NJ members, to an inspiring year filled with opportunities to learn, connect, and thrive!
